August – September Revolution is up!

The Ongrade website has been a great success since we launched with many thousands of visits. What is very pleasing is that we have so many repeat visitors, clearly the information we are providing is proving very useful to those finding their feet in machine control technology and wishing to learn more. Two of the most startling stats that we would like to share are :

1 From one repeat visitor we have had 152 visits since we launched, that’s well over one visit per working day. Let’s hope their interest in OnGrade isn’t affecting productivity otherwise their IT department might block us !!

2 We also have one particular town where we are a huge hit, clearly we have a shy potential customer as they are yet to pick up the phone.

Those repeat visitors still looking to expand their knowledge of machine control should of course feel free to contact us and we will be happy to help with any issues they are unsure about …

The new brochure and website content are nearly there!

New DigPilot Dealer

OnGrade are delighted to announce that Promac Solutions based in Aldermaston have become the latest dealer for its DigPilot Wireless Excavator Guidance system. PROMAC covers the central Southern England region including London and the Home Counties, Kent, Essex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Sussex, Middlesex, Hertfordshire, Hampshire and Bedfordshire. Promac offer a wide range of construction equipment brands including Doosan, Merlo, Ausa and Solmec.

OnGrade’s XW range of onboard weighing systems for material handlers will also be available through Promac

Promac will exhibit the DigPilot at the IOG Saltex exhibition along with other products in the Promac range (Stand no. DAA41e). Saltex IOG will be held at Windsor race course from the 7-9^th September. OnGrade and Promac will also hold a DigPilot – Doosan demonstration day in the near future, further details of this will follow

Positive signs, but still a long way to go!

A recent trip to the East of England bought us back via the A46, which has to surely be one of the biggest road building projects in the UK. Nothing exciting about siting in traffic next to a road building project but what was very interesting for those in our industry was the number of machine control systems on excavators on the project – all of the 3D variety. Now lets be clear when I say “the number of machines” I actually mean about 5 out of a total of about 50 machines. All the excavators with machine control installed were also pretty large, maybe 30 tonnes up. So whilst we should take heart from these positive signs there is still an awful long way to go before the construction industry is really get the most of of the technology. You might think that only the 5 machines with systems installed on them were doing the type of work that required machine control but thats not the case plenty of those small machines where pulling down batters etc and yes there were men wondering around with grade rods. Still a postive sign though….
