A great conference with some fantastic speeches especially Digby Jones, truly inspirational on the subject of business.

On a more serious note it was shocking to learn from official HSE figures that 5000 injuries at work occur due to workplace transport and tragically 46 of these are fatalities. 20% of incidents involved forklift trucks and the HSE will be focussing on reducing these incidents in particular.

Interesting to know as well that the HSE will now start charginf for interventions such as enforcement notices or prohibtion orders.

There  was some interesting technology and proximity warning systems (PWS) were covered in number of presentations with OnGrade’s ZoneSafe appearing in two. The usefulness of proximity warning systems in reducing the risk of workplace transport accidents is being recognised already which is impressive for a new technology

As someone who had never experienced the show I was overwhelmed with the scale of the show and although the majority of visitors seemed to be enjoying there day out there was plenty of others who were there to do business.

DigPilot was well received, one feature that was of great interest is that if a customer purchases a 2D system he has an easy upgrade path to 3D something that is not available with other units.

I would just like to thank the Speedy team for the opportunity to attend the show and the kind hospitality shown to us when we were there and were looking forward to next year!
